Never have I seen such extravagant ruffling on a diploid red. The form of this deep pink-red and its form suggest movement, joy, and dance - thus the name dancer. This is a very pretty flower that blooms well above the foliage. There is no other daylily like it. I see a number of possibilities for the hybridizer working toward ruffled edges on diploid reds, pinks, and purples. A vigorous grower.
